Mooney recurrent training, flight reviews, and IPCs
Mooney Pros gives flight reviews, instrument proficiency checks (IPCs), and recurrent training in your own Mooney, with an instructor who specializes in Mooneys. These activities are set up to earn FAA WINGS credit. Completing a WINGS phase also satisfies the flight review requirement, so one session can keep you current and sharp at the same time.
Many of our clients come back to us for flight reviews, IPCs, and a good currency shakedown. A Mooney you fly only now and then gets ahead of you quickly.

Flight reviews
A Mooney-specific flight review covers the regulations and the airplane: landings at the right speed, gear and systems discipline, emergency procedures, and the scenarios that matter where you fly.
Instrument proficiency checks (IPC)
Our FITS-based IPC follows FAA guidance (AC 61-98D and the Instrument Rating ACS) and meets 14 CFR 61.57(d). Plan on about 1.5 to 2.5 hours of ground and 2 to 3 hours of flight:
- IFR regulations, weather, and flight planning
- Holds, precision and non-precision approaches, a partial-panel approach, and missed approaches
- Unusual attitudes, system failures, and lost comms
- Mooney-specific items: approach airspeed held within ±5 knots (a Mooney Pros standard, tighter than the ACS ±10 knots), emergency gear extension, and G1000 or other avionics management where installed
Clients who complete an IPC with us earn the Basic WINGS phase.
Recurrent training
Recurrent training is custom work: avionics upgrades, G1000 NXi refreshers for Acclaim and Ultra owners, mountain flying, turbo engine management, or simply getting comfortable again after time off. Tell us what you want out of it.
FAA WINGS credit
Mooney Pros is a FAASTeam Industry Member, and our transition training and IPC activities are listed on ezwings.net so instructors can issue WINGS credit through the FAASTeam system. Transition training earns credit toward the Basic, Advanced, and Master WINGS phases. An IPC earns the Basic phase. The Mooney Pros activity is live on ezwings.net.
