Mooney ownership mentoring

Owning a Mooney goes well beyond flying it. Mooney Pros instructors give practical guidance on maintenance priorities, finding a Mooney-savvy shop, and the operating habits that keep your airplane healthy and your costs predictable.

Our instructors have owned and flown Mooneys for years. We’ll pass along what we’ve learned, including the things that aren’t in the POH.

What we help with

  • Maintenance priorities by model. For example, on a turbocharged Bravo we cover exhaust-system inspections, magneto care, and nose-gear truss checks after towing.
  • Finding a shop. We’ll point you to Mooney-experienced mechanics we trust in your region.
  • Operating habits. Fuel management and sumping technique, engine temperatures, fuel vents, and the preflight items Mooney owners miss.
  • Avionics and gear choices. Panel upgrades, portable GPS and EFB setups, and how they fit how you fly.
  • First-year ownership. What to watch, what to budget for, and who to call.

Mentoring often happens as part of your transition or recurrent training, and it is also sold on its own. When mentoring is sold separately, billing is negotiated. Our clients also know they can call or email us afterward with questions.
